Hypertrophic scars and keloids are elevated progressive scars. These are characterized by being thick and ropey, red, firm and elevated, painful and itchy. There is no efficient and non-recurrent solution – surgical or nonsurgical – to remove the lesions, especially large scars.

Market trends show that increasing numbers of people are refusing to accept such scars, caused by trauma, burns, injury, piercing, surgery or skin diseases.

Extensive clinical human studies were performed on over 120 patients, who suffered from hypertrophic scars and keloids. The CryoShape was proved to be safe and effective for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

The clinical studies clearly demonstrated the excellent efficacy of the CryoShape due to the increased freezing area of deep scar material, compared to that obtained with commercially available scar management solutions. An average of more than 51% of scar volume reduction was achieved following a single treatment session.

Furthermore, the cryo-treatment preserved the original skin color with no hypo-pigmentation.
